NORTH CAROLINA CCIM CHAPTER EARNS 1ST PLACE PRESIDENT’S CUP FOR EXCELLENCE 

Award Given by CCIM Institute, Leading Commercial Real Estate Association

CHICAGO —The North Carolina CCIM Chapter earned the First Place Award in the Tier One category of the President’s Cup competition conducted by the CCIM Institute at meetings held recently in Chicago for Chapter leaders from around the nation.

            The President’s Cup award is given to Chapters of CCIM Institute, the governing body of the largest commercial real estate broker network in the world, as a way to recognize innovative and outstanding Chapter activities program, including:  membership recruitment; retention; promotion; new members; new designees; education promotion; programs; special events; and fundraisers.

            Key goals of the President’s Cup awards program are to:

·         Promote the value of Chapter membership to CCIM Designees, Candidates and affiliate members.

·         Build a continuous awareness of the importance of recruitment through an ongoing membership campaign.

·         Reward Chapters for developing innovative programs.

            The North Carolina CCIM Chapter is headquartered at the offices of the Greensboro Regional Realtors® Association. 

            The North Carolina CCIM Chapter is one of nearly 60 local/regional Chapters affiliated with CCIM Institute, the nation’s leading commercial real estate association.   An affiliate of the National Association of Realtors®, CCIM Institute confer the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.  

            The Chapter has more than 500 representing all property types and disciplines of commercial investment real estate.

             The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon completion of a graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience.  CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis, and form a business network encompassing 1,000 markets throughout North America, Asia, Europe and the Caribbean.  Of the estimated 125,000 commercial real estate practitioners in North America, 9,000 currently hold the CCIM designation.  An additional 9,000 professionals are pursuing the designation as Institute candidates.
